    I feel that this article goes at least part way towards educating the populace of the very real social problem of hat abandonment. Every year more than 7 hats are abandoned and left to fend for themselves. Some hats are re-homed but many become feral have have to be destroyed. Please give whatever you can to the Abandoned Hat re-homing fund. With your help, we can give these hats a better future!
