HotUKDeals Of The Day - Tuesday 9th August

new hukd logo The good folk at HotUKDeals are quick to react to the news of the day and there’s currently some major heat surrounding the Mosquito youth anti-social behaviour deterrent and the FX-1 FlexForce crowd control kit – riot armour basically. Or you might just want to get a cheap baseball bat instead. It's your riot - play it however you like.

But there’s more to HUKD than that – here’s some other great bargains we’ve unearthed over the past 24 hours…

992462_1There’s only one thing better than getting something for free and that’s getting something that’s nearly free. Hang on, that’s not quite right is it? Ah well, whatever the truth really is, getting a movie download for the price of a 35p text isn’t too bad is it?

That’s what’s on offer for Orange customers. It’s called Film To Go and allows you to get a free iTunes movie download every Thursday, all for the price of the text. It’s yours to keep for 30 days.

992706_1Yesterday, we unearthed a jumbo list of reduced items at Morrisons, enough for you all to stock up and survive on while the current armageddon plays itself out. If you’ve got any cash left and/or any more space in your pantry and/or larder.

This bunch of bargains is from Sainsburys and there’s everything from Cheerios to fizzy Vimto to Monster Munch to fish fingers to yoghurts to pizzas to more fish fingers. We’ll let you know when it’s safe to come out again.

992597_1Finally for today, a game. Apparently, “the Stormers are now bringing the extreme MotorStorm festival to a major metropolitan city that has been ravaged by a gigantic earthquake. With all of its unstable skyscrapers, fiery subway tunnels, twisting bridges and more, the almost completely abandoned city offers the perfect playground for MotorStorm’s electric brand of brutal street racing.”

Sounds a lot like navigating your way through some of Britain’s larger cities at the moment but in fact it’s a description of Motorstorm Apocalypse for the PS3. You can be neck-deep in it all for only £14.85. Got to be better than actual real life.
