HotUKDeals Of The Day - Tuesday 8th September

8 September 2009

hukd_logob1As the closing date of our Bitterwallet big giant massive enormous engorged weighty giveaway draws closer, are you wondering if any of today’s brilliant bargains will make it into the prize bag?

Only we know, and to be honest, we’re not really sure ourselves. What we are sure about however is that these excellent products and other offers can be found at HotUKDeals.

wii_fit1Yesterday, we tipped you the wink about a Mario Kart bargain for the Nintendo Wii, but today we’re turning our attentions to losing the weight you’ll inevitably put on by sitting on your arse for days on end, playing the game endlessly and scoffing crisps and cake. Maybe you’ll also defecate into a carrier bag and wash your hair with your own spit.

We hope not – we hope you’ll choose the path to redemption that is Wii Fit. You can get the game and the balance board for just £49.99 at the moment, much cheaper than it has been in the past. In fact, when we got ours, it was from a bloke round the back of the pub and we had to give him money AND do special kissing in order to seal the deal. Kept our eyes closed though.

463846Okay younglings, next up, here’s a couple of DVD box sets that could ‘force’ their way into your collection. Of course we’re talking about the Star Wars films, in this case, the prequels and the originals in two six-disc sets.

They’re £14.99 each, which means you get the whole thing (12 discs) for £29.98, which means about a fiver a film or £2.50 a disc. We did those sums with the help of the ‘space maths’ that the movies made so popular back in the 1980s.

464268Finally, we turn to music, and ‘Chinese Democracy’ by Guns N Roses. It’s an album that had a tortuous inception, taking over a decade to make, amid countless line-up changes and one or two false starts, thanks mostly to the behaviour of band leader Axl Rose.

In the end, it wasn’t worth it as it’s a complete and utter crock of shit, muddied by Rose’s ego and inability to just get on with the job. If you want this steaming heap of cack, you can get it on CD for just £2.93. Are you reading this Axl? All those years of work and Chinese Democracy is going for the price of an Asda Chinese dinner for one. You tit.
