HotUKDeals Of The Day - Thursday 16th September
As you may know, the Pope has arrived in Britain – he touched down this morning and has been tootling around Scotland in his little Popemobile ever since. We’ve found some value-priced stuff that might enhance his short visit.
Say a prayer for the good people at HotUKDeals, for it is they who have unearthed the Papal bargains. Bless them.
When he isn’t hanging out with the Queen, Archbishop of Canterbury and all of those crusty old duffers, the Pope might want to spend his spare time keeping abreast of all the gaming developments so that he’s got something to talk about if he’s ever, erm, interacting with children.
He could do a lot worse than invest in a PS3 starter pack complete with its brand new Move controller – the thing with the brightly coloured balls on the end. We don’t know what the currency is in the Vatican, but if he gets it exchanged into sterling, the Move starter pack could be his for under £40 once various vouchers have been applied.
The Pope probably hasn’t brought his own telly with him from his Vatican lounging area – we’d imagine that it’s enormous and that he can’t get it down off the wall without some help from a few cardinals.
That might pose a problem if the 83-year-old pontiff wants to play on his PS3 during his ‘downtime’ so here’s an affordable solution – get an LG 42-inch HD-ready plasma telly for only £359.99. Perhaps he can add the cost of it to the £12 million that has come out of the public purse to fund the visit of the head of the cash-rich religious organisation.
Finally, the Pope will be in constant need of refreshment during his whistle-stop jaunt around the country. At his advanced age, he’ll have to make sure he doesn’t dehydrate with all of the hustle and bustle of meeting people and apologising.
There’s always the option of holy water and communal wine for refreshing yourself, but when you can get 12 cans of 7UP for only £2.00, why would you bother? Eh? Eh??? JESUS!
