The website guaranteed to make you wet - rain.co.uk

4 March 2011

Ah, the great British staycation! What better way to treat the family than remaining in the UK for your next Summer holiday. And now there's a website just for you!

Bitterwallet - rain.co.uk
Rain.co.uk is a rather pointed marketing campaign by holiday website Sunshine.co.uk, and marks the latest round in a grudge match being slugged out with UK holiday company Hoseasons.

According to Tnooz, the spat began when Sunshine.co.uk produced a survey that found, somewhat unsurprisingly, that a fifth of UK consumers would never take a domestic holiday. Hoseasons took the survey finding personally and rubbished the results, leading to Sunshine.co.uk retaliating with their new site.

They've got a point, to be fair. British weather in the summer is not unlike taking a beating in the balls. And not in a good way.

That means 20% of UK consumers are weak and feeble. Bit of rain never hurt anyone! The wetter the better I say!

Don't rubbish the Great British weather like that - at least the rain gets a little warmer here in the summer.

The rain has been provided by nature as a kind way of saving us from the sight of an endless stream of flabby, lobster-coloured bodies in skimpy clothes lumbering around our beaches and parks, and for that we should be thankful.
