Still NSFW - there are London Underground strikes again, so...

3 November 2010

What do you mean, this is the third time we've posted this video on Bitterwallet? Well, yes, yes it is. What's your point? The London Underground maintenance workers are on strike once more and this video sums up how plenty of commuters feel, so no further excuses are required. Be warned though - it's still chocked-full of swears and rude words on-screen:

The current tube strike, which started last night, is expected to affect services until tomorrow morning. Nearly two thirds of services are likely to be cancelled and plenty of stations will be closed altogether.

There'll be extra bus services and water taxis in place for the day - there's more information available from the TfL website.

I saw them last month at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival - they did about an hour of similar stuff. Excellent stuff.

It does my head in when they strike... I understand they are not happy that jobs are at risk but unfortunately this is currently the state this economy is in. Lots of people are loosing jobs and this is their attitude... It stinks

Jobs are going when the money is there and so is the work. Middle management are asshats.

Great song and sums up what most Londoners think of tube workers

I completely agree with the sentiment of the song. Keep posting, with each strike. I'd missed the previous postings of this video and there may be others, in the same position next time, who'd like to see it.

Fully in support of the strikers, here. Least someone, somewhere is standing up for workers rights.

Bunch of twats who think they are owed a living because they know how to press "forward" and "back" buttons.

Quick correction, they don't press forward and back... They press door open, door close. The forward and back bit is controlled remotely. Makes the realisation that they are paid well over 30K just as depressing though!

They also get to read the Sun instead of having to look where they are going. And they don't even pay for it, as they collect the ones that passengers leave.

London is a hole. Don't like dealing with this sort of shit? THEN MOVE THE FUCK SOMEWHERE DECENT. I have, as those of you with sufficient grey matter to live outside the capital have probably guessed, zero sympathy.
  • Londoner
FUCK YOU SLACKER your jealous of Londoners. you continue to pay your £4 bus fare. maybe if you had a job (there are no jobs worth having outside of london) then you'll think differently towards tube strikers.

In all fairness, 'Londoner', 'Slacker' is right. London is a hole and I'm glad I live outside of it with trees and unsmoggy air. London has one of the best transport systems in the world. Tube not working? Well, take your own advice then, and get the fucking bus! A friend on mine summed up London quite well: "Off to London, no doubt. Go to London! I guarantee you'll either be mugged or not appreciated. Catch the train to London, stopping at Rejection, Disappointment, Backstabbing Central and Shattered Dreams Parkway." ps It's "You're" not "your" in the context you used it above. Maybe Slacker did have a point about the lack of grey matter in Londoners....
