No UK airlines in 10 best

21 March 2016

plane When it comes to satisfying customers, the UK's airlines aren't too great, as not a single one appeared in the top 10 for European carriers.

In the top spot was Luxembourg's Luxair, followed by Austrian Airlines and Swiss International Air Lines. When it comes to value for money, Turkish Airlines came top, and for checking in, everyone liked Lufthansa best.

Who did best out of the UK's lot? Well, Flybe came in 16th place when it comes to customer satisfaction. In 18th place, you'll find the famous British Airways, followed by Monarch in 19th place. One of the things that hammered BA's score was the charges for checking in luggage.

Online travel company eDreams compiled this data, and a spokesperson said: "Our survey found that many UK airlines have a lot to learn from their European counterparts. The fact that no British carrier makes the top 10 should lead to some concern among our native airlines."

"As more and more airlines fly into and out of an ever-increasing number of destinations, consumers have a larger choice than ever. Flybe, BA and Monarch should be watching their European rivals closely."
