Delta flights down over systems crash

The American airline, Delta, has suspended departing flights across the globe after they suffered a massive problem with their system.

The company tweeted: "Customers should check the status of their flight before heading to the airport while the issue is being addressed."

Naturally, Delta are doing their best to get everything sorted, and inbound flights are not affected by this problem.

Heathrow airport have said: "Delta flights from Heathrow are experiencing delays due to the worldwide technical issue with their computer systems."

"Check-in is currently operating using a back-up system and airport staff are on hand to assist any passengers that are impacted by the delays."

As this is a rolling story, the best thing to do, is to keep checking Delta's Twitter account, which you can do here.

Delta are also updating their news section about the whole thing, and they also have an app which you can check.
