3 Bargain Travel Hacks / Holiday Packages Of The Week

It’s March, and it’s still blimey cold and cloudy outside. We’d all surely love to escape the weather and feel the S.A.D. ease slightly… if only there were good deals to get away.

Well, there are. Here are a few options available this week (courtesy of HUKD, our dear readers, and, Travelzoo):

http://img9.imageshack.us/img9/6339/chinahongkong2907957291.jpg1. Hong Kong Round Trip from £325: Time to collect a few more Gicci wallets, Rolax watches, spy pens and pirate DVDs! Virgin Atlantic is celebrating their 25th birthday this year by giving a big present to customers once a week (what the marketing department left out is that it’s also a good way to keep the profits afloat during the recession). This week’s offer is a return flight to Hong Kong from £325 (thanks, Kingchris!). You have to book by the 11th of March, with departure dates from 05 Mar - 20 Mar 09 and 06 Apr - 11 Jun 09. Don’t forget 2% Quidco with Virgin Atlantic.

Extra tip: Reader cupracooper also suggestsed checking out Cebu Pacific airlines: HK > Manilla return for £85. Having just checked with a filipino friend of mine, this airline is supposedly the best balance of great fares and amazing service and stable flights.  When their aircraft has any glitches, they exchange their planes with other free planes within their system to ensure passenger safety. Not only that, but their passengers are also compensated when delays happen.

This deal was originally for the early bird, as it is not officially till later the year in September/October as flights depart Gatwick between September 20 and October 15.

However, according to TravelZoo, May 1-16 is also available for just £30 extra per person. You must book this before March 11 to get this deal though. The package includes stay at the Aquis Sandy Beach Resort, 30m from the Agios Georgios beach. It also includes a FREE upgrade to a sea side view room, and a FREE meal  at the a la carte restaurant (but food according to Tripadvisor, may be worth skipping).  There is free wi-fi at the hotel.

Disneyland Paris £329 per family: Iglu releasd a deal for the whole family @ Disneyland Paris for £329, discovered a week ago by boozie that has still not expired. This deal is 40% off the regular rate. Kids under the age of 7 get to stay and play free, the lucky gits. The package includes Eurotunnel tickets, 2 nights B&B at the 2 star Disney Hotel Santa Fe, conveniently located at the resort itself. You are also supplied with 3 day hopper passes for both Disney parks for the entire family.

The deal ends also in a week on the 11th of March, with only a few dates available including 24/9, 29/9 and 30/9. However, if you can spare an additional £70, a few additional dates in April (19-23) May (15-18), and June (22-23) are also available. You can book this offer by calling IGLU on 020 8544 6089 and quoting TZOO.

I've used CubuPaciffic to get to the philippines via HK before... UK to philippines is £900+, UK to HK is now super cheap and I paid about £60 return HK to Manilia and internal flights to other islands in Philippines costs less that £30 return. V v v good way to get to Philippines!

@ Bawbag - Noone is forcing you to read it :) There are loads of holiday offers around at the moment, Orbitz and Air Newzealand also have big discounts on long haul. For a really cheap short haul hol, sunshine.co.uk and alpharooms have had some pretty good prices. Tripadvisor is handy for getting real reviews on places so you don't end up in a complete rathole/
