Write poetry and win a Nexus S smartphone

13 December 2010

Bitterwallet - Nexus SDo you want to win the newly unveiled Nexus S smartphone? No? Okay then. Fine. I still have to finish writing this article though.

To promote their new smartphone, Google is running a competition which gives away handsets via Twitter. So what do you have to do? Retweet something that will irritate all your followers?

Mercifully not.

This giveaway, which is open to folks from the UK, as well as those in the US and Canada, asks you to come up with an original slice of Haiku poetry as part of a puzzle challenge. There's also been a photography competition too, which is a nice twist compared to the usual hoops you have to jump through for a freebie.

Keep an eye on the Twitter page (click here to follow them) to see what they have in store for the next challenge, although Google are dropping hints, saying: “Brush up your Android 2.3 SDK knowledge, this one’s for coders”.

The Google Nexus S was launched last week and the shops are reporting a big interest in the handsets. It is due to see release on December 16th and is available for pre-order at various places and a Sim-free version is due December 20th.

Ring, ring...... The nexus S is ringing, It wakes me from my slumber, Is it bitterwallet, Or just a wrong number....? Tap, tap........ Tapping at my window pane, Is it bitterwallet, Or is it rain.....? Ow ! Ow!... Oh, I've got a cramp all down my arm, A weight is pressing on my chest, Is it bitterwallet atop me, Or a cardiac arr...
