will.i.am wants to make your smartphone, a 'genius phone'

26 November 2012

The Black Eyed Peas honcho and gyrating Lego man, will.i.am, is launching a load of iPhone gadgets which, according to him, will 'turn your smartphone into a genius-phone'.

It is already more irritating than a bag of wasps giving you papercuts.

The first gizmo off the line (from his new venture called i.am+) is a thing that clips onto an iPhone and transforms the eight megapixel smartphone camera into a 14 megapixel camera... which actually sounds rather good. See? Irritating.

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph, he says: "We have our own sensor and a better flash. You dock you phone into our device and it turns you smartphone into a genius-phone. We take over the camera."

Apple have granted i.am+ a development licence and will.i.am says that a much larger range of technological hardware will follow and Selfridges will sell all his products exclusively from early December.

Not sure anyone should like the idea of will.i.am taking over your camera.

so you need to carry your phone and an additional device to boost the camera function of your phone.... this could just be me but ummm... why not just carry a decent camera? I'm not seeing the benefit?

As Elvis used to say to me, Will.i.am is a twat. Don't ever work on The Voice with him.
