Spotify to hit Blackberry and Linux

6 December 2011

spotify-logoSpotify, now that they're properly trying to crack America, has been busy working on a buncha stuff as they attempt to, in their words, replace the CD.

And the developers there have been working on some prototypes to try and dominate the music market.

One interesting thing that Spotify is going appear on BlackBerry, with many of the features seen on iPhones and Android smartphones. Of course, you'll need a Spotify Premium account to access your music, which is currently available on the 9780 Bold, 9700 Bold, 9300 Curve, 9000 Bold, 8520 Curve.

There's also a build of Spotify for Linux. It's not officially supported yet, which means it could be a little buggy and there's no reliable way for advert display yet and will only be available to Spotify Premium and Unlimited subscribers.

All systems are go!

Haven't used Spotify for months since they stopped it being 'free', and probably never will again.

YEAH SPOTIFY. Am I the only person here that thinks it's great? im sat here at work listening to spotify on my mobile (being a premium subscriber) and have access to just about any tune that i would want, plus many more i'd never listen to. The only problem I've found is that the content for chili peppers is quite dire. up Spotify!
