Radioplayer connects BBC and commercial radio online

1 April 2011

radioplayer-logoHey there people with working ears! Radioplayer has launched! What's that? Well, its an online hub where all the BBC and commercial radio stations are joined together in one place, in perfect harmony.

As well as being able to listen to all the radio stations through one player, there'll also be a listen-again feature and you can search by station, location, programme, presenter and all that junk.

The Radioplayer was built by the BBC, which means it should work a treat unlike the clunky online versions of other radio stations.

That said, Radioplayer uses Flash which means it'll be fine on your computer, but not so great on your phone, especially if you have an iPhone or iPad.

Presumably, a non-Flash version is being worked on as we speak. Click here to give it a whirl.

Works fine on Android. Search is a bit wobbly, bbc4 = no results, bbc 4 = 100 results
