Orange and T-Mobile offer cheap iPads

22 November 2010

Bitterwallet - the iPadOrange and T-Mobile will be offering cheaper iPad deals, which is good if you want an iPad. However, the catch is, is that you'll have to tie yourself into a longer contract.

T-Mobile have said: "T-Mobile UK today announced it will offer new purchase options for iPad users, including more affordable prices when purchased with a data service plan, for iPad with Wi-Fi + 3G models in the coming months."

Then, in a near identical statements, Orange said:

"Orange UK today announced it will offer new purchase options for iPad users, including more affordable prices when purchased with a data service plan, for iPad with Wi-Fi + 3G models in the coming months."

At the moment, if you want an iPad and be able to use it wherever you like, your only option is the iPad 3G, which involves a hefty payment to buy the device then more money per month to your favourite network for data.

While there is no price given yet, drawing comparisons to the iPhone 4, you'll probably be able to pick one up for around £150-£200 on a £35-£30 per month, two-year deal.

More news when we get it.

http://www.techradar.com/news/mobile-computing/apple-set-to-re-release-ipad-with-free-data-910116 Pay full whack for a device then a bunch of clowns monthly for an expensive data plan on an extremely long contract.... Erm just wait for the Ipad with Apple Sim :o

Yeah, what Speedy said. Less than a month until you can pick your network, so they are all looking to tie you in to two year contracts. LAME. http://www.t3.com/news/apple-ipad-2-release-pre-christmas-with-integrated-sim?=51113

Apple releae a new product a month before christmas with better features or lower cost without a fanfare from Angels with golden trumpets. They'll release it after Christmas so that everybody who's just bought the old one has to buy the new one to keep up. It's not like it's underselling now is it? If they do release it early then I'll jolly welll release my fox from the basement and let it roam wild again.

Integrated SIM? No thanks! I'd rather buy a normal ipad and then be free to use whatever network I want, changing as and when I need by simply putting a new SIM in.

I'd rather not buy one at all.

Well yeah, same here, but if I WAS going to buy one then I'd get a normal one. But some people just like to troll, eh?
