A student has spoken of her absolute torment after she found out that hackers spied on her while she lay naked in the bath, all soapy and farting.

Rachel Hyndman was watching a film on her laptop in the bathroom when she saw her webcam turn on “like a ghost was using it”. She quickly shut down her computer and wanted to go to the police, even though she thought they wouldn't take her seriously.

What she eventually found out was that she'd been a victim of 'ratting' which hackers use a program to access your computer without your knowledge. After that, they can switch on the in-built webcam and watch their targets while they use their devices. Imagine the amount of hours spent watching Mac users create endless boring images of themselves with funny shaped foreheads in PhotoBooth.

According to reports, hackers can make money off this by selling access to people who want to watch people, who are referred to as 'slaves'.

The student Rachel, said: “I was in the bath, trying to relax, and then programs on my computer came on like a ghost was using it. I couldn't regain control of it. It was terrifying to think people had been looking at me without me knowing. I wondered how often they had done it without me realising. The thought someone had access to me in this private moment is horrifying."

The funniest thing about this story is the link to the Sun, where they then publish photos of topless celebs that have been spied on ...

This is not fair.....I have experienced this....and believe it or not but it happens more often than not. I can't figure out who or why or the reason, but it was worse for me because I was more aware than most people would be. it's one thing to be spied on without your knowledge, but when you feel the intrusion...it's difficult to bare.
