Facebook might be reeling from the launch of Google+ this week (although to be fair, it isn’t), but it seems that they could be about to fight back against Google’s video chat service in +… with their OWN video chat option.

That’s the word that’s seeping out ahead of Facebook’s major launch event on Wednesday, with Tech Crunch reporting that the video chat service will be launched in conjunction with Skype. It’s unsure whether it will automatically be built in to Facebook or whether users will have to register with Skype in order to use it, but all shall be revealed over the next few days.

It sounds incredible – and will make wrecking your marriage or long-term relationship by hooking up again with childhood sweethearts so much easier. What depressing times we live in. Humans – you’re all scum.
