Debenhams gets a barcode-scanning app
Debenhams have decided to be all futuristic by launching a new app for Android handsets, which offers us plebs a range of features via our phones when we scan barcodes and such.
They're the first UK retailer to do so apparently. We could check to see if that's true, but in all honesty, we can't be arsed.
This Android app comes with a barcode scanner which, like all barcode scanners utilises the camera on your phone to snap the barcode on an item in the shop so you can check pricing and reviews and all that junk.
You can also get deals on products when you scan the QR codes displayed in the shop windows. As well as the ability to create wishlists and such, you can indulge in the worrying activity of watching 'Debenhams TV' too.
That'll be brilliant won't it?
No.
