Buy a US iPad and hack your UK SIM with a meat cleaver and Hey Presto!
Apple's iPad 3G uses a MicroSIM and, as the name suggests, it is a bit smaller than your average SIM. Annoying, right?
Well, there seems to be a way around it and it involves a pair of scissors and a meat cleaver.
A chap called John Benson got himself a US-issue iPad 3G and then, got his Vodafone SIM and chopped bits of it off until it slotted into the MicroSIM slot on his iPad and apparently, it works great.
Basically, John Benson sliced away all the erroneous bits of plastic around the electronic bit until it could be squeezed into the slot. Handy news if you simply can't wait to get your hands on one.
Obviously, none of the dimwits at Bitterwallet have tried this because we're not allowed sharp objects (have you tried cutting up a SIM with safety scissors?) so if you're giving it a go, don't come crying to us if you bork your SIM beyond repair. Okay?
That said, if any of you are brave enough to give it a go, send us the pictures of your handywork/severed fingers.
