Android tops 900k activations per day

12 June 2012

android_logoThe tussle for supremacy between Google and Apple continues unabated. Of course, Apple have been announcing all manner of new gizmos this week, which of course, leaves the door open for Google to do some crowing.

So what are they saying? Well, they're boasting about Android activations topping 900,000 per day, which is a staggering amount of people.

And Google’s Android director, Andy Rubin, is beating his chest with glee about this activation success, while simultaneously denying that he is about to leave the company

Taking to twitter (where else?), Rubin bragged about the successes of open-source operating systems in a move that was obviously aimed at Apple. He said: “No plans to leave Google... Oh, and just for meme completeness – there are over 900,000 android devices activated each day :)”

Yes, he tweeted a smiley face at the end of it all.

Do BW not read comments on here, or do they just not give a shit? Mike Hock, vibeone et al ruin this site. BW-Do something about them.

@Chewbacca I didn't know Vibe's full name was Vibeone et Al, very exotic. I'll get my coat.

I don't subscribe to Sky. Should I be banned from bitching on the Internet.

BW couldn't give a flying fuck what the trolls and the troll trolls say on here, as long as hotukdeals gets the clicks clicks clicks clicks clicks clicks. All adds to the SEO. I am wanking as I am writing this. Thinking about Joe.

Mike Hock and Vibeone are sons of donkeys! Lackeys of The Great Satan! They must feel our anger and know the wisdom of the immort... Actually, you know what? I can't be bothered.

Sadly, drunk and naked as I surely often am, I would not post the pathetic imitations of my former self as evident above. Mike (and Al?) go ever on attempting to capture the site by pretending (poorly) to be everybody from The Real Bob, myself, Chewbacca, Boris (who seems to have almost given up the ghost) and a whole host of his own hilarious creations. Pretty soon it will just be Mike and those 'click click clicks' will fade away. I have decided to retire to my quiet country residence with a few of my favourite vulpine friends, my last bottle of Auld Acquaintance, and my service revolver. In the spirit of the original Bitterwallet I say: I was Bitterwallet, but no longer. I have loved you all so dearly but new I must get terribly, terribly drunk and wish you all a fond farewell.

Will the real wonkey henry please stand up? Gah, this site could be great, we've had some awesome (sort of debates) in the past but it's getting past it now. I'll still pop in from time to time, but when you don't feed the trolls they will starve and die. And anyone that thinks it's called "Downturn Abbey" deserves to be arsefucked by a cactus. But they'd probably like that.

We've kind of left the troll thing alone for a while now but we'll be doing more to nip it in the bud.

Me too. Mike hock & vibeone have knackered this site. Till they're barred, I'm off.

Not like the old days when we had stories of currys/pcworld. Any chance we can have more stories on their death?

Is Andy Dawson above, the Andy from Candy and Andy and the Bearandas. I seem to remember seeing pictures of him pushing his sister on a swing, with a very disturbing upskirt shot of Candy and Andy looking very murderous.

Comments over the past few days haven't been me since I've not had any internet access anyway. However, BW already know this - they know the comments aren't from me, so its all good. I don't mind the faker though - hence why I don't request comments are removed. Plus I bum foxes.
