A sneak peak at the Google Android tablet

5 May 2010

It looks like it was assembled from a kit bought in Tandy, but it's sat on the Adobe stand at the Web 2.0 Conference in San Francisco, it's touchscreen and it's running a variation of the Android operating system. In other words, it's very likely that this is Google's Android tablet, albeit a very quick and dirty prototype.

Here's one of the videos (and there are several to watch at Zedomax, the site of the blogger who posted about it):

According to staff at the Adobe, several Android tablets will be launched at the end of the year. And as the videos show, "it runs Adobe’s Flash and Air applications flawlessly". Will Apple care? Nope. But you might.
