WhatsApp make group chat more annoying
Have you found yourself in a WhatsApp group chat which started off well, but then some people you know spoil it by using it to talk about what they're having for their tea, or something else that would be more suited to messaging one person, RATHER THAN EVERYONE JUST STOP IT ALREADY.
Sorry. It's a very sore point.
Anyway, one of the things you could do, is mute the group to stop such nonsense.
Well, WhatsApp have been having a think about that, and decided to roll out a new feature which could be magnificently annoying for people who don't like being pestered.
They have introduced the ability for users in group chats to tag other people, so they'll get a notification, even if they've muted the damned thing.
Of course, this could be really handy if you're in a group chat that is filled with people who understand that people don't like being chatted at needlessly.
If you want to tag someone in one of your WhatsApp group chats, then all you need to do is put the '@' symbol before their name, and bingo, you'll get a pop-up menu and you can tag those who appear in your contacts list.
So, if you want to make your WhatsApp life less annoying, the only option is to literally cut people out of your life, forever.
