Twitter has got something of an image problem when it comes to people getting abused and trolled.
With that, the social network has introduced a new feature which aims to make it easier for people to report harassment. Now, in a new service that is being rolled out to users, you'll be able to bundle multiple tweets together in a single report.
This will make the process simpler, and quicker for users who want to alert Twitter to any sustained abuse. It also provides better context for Twitter's team, which will hopefully mean a quicker, more effective resolution.
Writing on the Twitter blog, engineer Hao Tang said: "We want everyone on Twitter to feel safe expressing themselves. Behaviour that crosses the line into abuse is against our rules and we want it to be easy for you to report it to us."
It was added that, at Twitter, "safety continues to be a top priority," and that more improvements to reporting abuse will be coming "soon".
It should be available on Android, iOS, and the desktop version of Twitter within the next couple of weeks.
This comes on the back of what was said by Twitter's former CEO Dick Costolo, who said that Twitter "sucks" when it comes to dealing with trolling and worse.
He previously wrote: "It's no secret and the rest of the world talks about it every day. We lose core user after core user by not addressing simple trolling issues that they face every day."
