Snapchat to store images in 'Memories'
Snapchat has been growing and growing in popularity. This is for two reasons - it's really daft, and we all need some silliness at the moment; and because you are far less likely to get people setting on you and abusing you for posting what you want, thanks to it being less public than Facebook and Twitter.
Of course, it is great for sending mucky pictures to people as well, and smut always does well.
With that, Snapchat have tweaked their app over the years, and the filters and geotags have been a great success with users.
And now, you'll be able to store your memories without screengrabbing everything.
They've revealed a feature called Memories, which basically lets you save posts and videos and edit them into a collage. You'll be able to repost these collages as 'flashbacks', or if you prefer, you can save them on your own passcode-protected channel called 'My Eyes Only'.
This new service is rolling out to Snapchat's 150 million daily users, and to use it (once you've updated your app), you swipe up from the app's camera.
Snapchat say: "We'll be rolling out Memories selectively over the next month or so—it's a big change for our service so we want to make sure everything is running smoothly."
"You'll receive a chat from Team Snapchat when Memories is ready for you to use."
And if you don't quite understand what's going on, then you can watch this video.
If you don't understand this, you're on your own.
