Thine eyes! KFC testing new burger - the Skinwich!

20 August 2010

While your Bitterwallet editors will spend their weekend perfect the Bitterwallet Breakfast Sundae, as promised, we've more lard-doused news from KFC; not content with their artery-busting Double Down sandwich, the Colonel is now testing the Skinwich; at least, they are according to these exclusive snaps from blog Brain Residue:

What's going on between the buns, you ask? No less than five layers of fried chicken skin, topped with bacon and cheese. Head over to Brain Residue for more photos and a review. Alternatively, don't bother, because it's a stinking fake. Meh. World, we warn you now - come Monday morning, you won't know what the hell hit you. That's when we'll unveil the Bitterwallet Breakfast Sundae. Know this.

Thanks to avid Bitterwallet reader Keith

UPDATE - thanks to avid Bitterwallet reader PBH who points out that Jamie Oliver thought the skinwich was the real deal. Pukka.

I would actually try this. The skin is the only bit of the chicken that actually has real flavour.
