HotUKDeals Of The Day - Monday 20th July

Today sees the 40th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon landing and we’re paying tribute to the brave astronauts who died that day with some stuff that would have made their fateful final trip go a lot smoother.

As we pause for a minute’s silence, let us give thanks to HotUKDeals for providing us with these spacetastic bargains.

We still don’t know what happened to the brave lunar warriors of Apollo 11 as no records of their mission have ever been found. Perhaps they should have taken a Moleskine notebook and written down their thoughts and feelings along the way.

Make sure you don’t make the same mistake – there’s a 12 month diary available that handily covers the year 2010, and it’s available at the moment for only £5.99.

Buying fresh food is always a problem during space exploration. You can’t just pull over to an intergalactic KFC and nosh on a bargain bucket whenever you get peckish.

You can stock up on pre-cooked chickens before you go however. Later this week, you can find them for as little as £2 each. Plus, did you know that the anti-gravity in all spaceships keeps them fresh and hot throughout the entire mission?

We can only assume that Aldrin, Armstrong and Alda came to an untimely end back in 1969 after some kind of skirmish with angry aliens. Perhaps it would have been wise to have offered them a gift instead of getting involved in space-age fisticuffs.

As the doomed jaunt was a mission of discovery, a jar of green Discovery jalapenos would have made a tasty AND appropriate present to offer the bloodthirsty aliens. It’s too late now, but anyone heading to the Moon this week should consider picking up a jar for just 74p – that’s half the regular price. Amen.
