Product Recall: Weetabix rubber concerns

oatibix There's a product recall from the Weetabix Food Company. They're recalling cereal packs because this particular product might have bits of soft blue rubber in it. Obviously, you don't want to be eating rubber, regardless of how blue or soft it is.

Oatibix Flakes batches subject to the recall notice are all 550g size packs, with:

‘Best before’ date: 18 January 2017 with batch code: 6018
‘Best before’ date: 19 January 2017 with batch code: 6019
‘Best before’ date: 20 January 2017 with batch code: 6020
‘Best before’ date: 21 January 2017 with batch code: 6021

If you have any other Oatibix products, you should be fine. If you have one of the above boxes, you are advised by the company to bin it.

For a full refund, customers should send a photograph of the product ‘Best Before’ date to [email protected], or send the strip from the top of the packet to: Freepost RTJX-CZGH-ZLYK Oatibix Consumer Services PO Box 5, Burton Latimer, Kettering, Northamptonshire NN15 5JR.

In a statement, the company say: "Fulfilling the expectations of our consumers is of paramount importance to us here at Weetabix, and we take all issues regarding the quality of our food extremely seriously. We offer our sincere apologies to you for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your cooperation."
