Product Recall: Sainsbury's Wholemeal Bread 800g (Thick & Medium Sliced)

20 January 2016

sainsburys Have you been tucking into Sainsbury's wholemeal bread and thinking that it is particularly tough on the teeth?

Well, there's a product recall on Sainsbury’s Wholemeal Bread, thick sliced, and medium sliced, both best before 19th January.

They say: "Our supplier has made us aware of the possible presence of tiny metal pieces in a small number of the above products."

"As a precautionary measure, we are asking customers who have purchased this product with the best before date, to return it to their nearest Sainsbury’s store, where they will receive a full refund."

"No other products or date codes are affected by this issue, and we apologise for the inconvenience this may cause."

Now, you can just bin it if you're not going to miss the money, or you can just return it to the nearest Sainsbury's and make a joke about it being 'a good source of iron, eh?!' to the person who deals with you (and swears about your awful dad joke after you've left the shop). Entirely up to you. We're not the boss of you.
