Product Recall: My Hair Dresser (MHD) Hair Straightener / Curler

7 December 2015

2015-w48_19227-1f Styling your hair at home, while you get ready for Christmas party season? Well, if you own the curlers/straighteners from My Hair Dresser (MHD), you need to pay attention to this.

There's a product recall on them, model number: MHD-059. It is the white and black plastic hair straightener and curler supplied in a box, which you can see in the accompanying image.

The problem here is that there's the risk of electric shock due to inadequate construction. So, if you have one of these in the house, you need to stop using it immediately, and disconnect it from the mains.

There's more bad news - the manufacturer may not have provided a way to exchange the product, but this is a dangerous device and you need to stop using it immediately. Electrical Safety First recommends that anyone who discovers they have an electrical item that has been recalled should stop using it until it has been checked by the manufacturer.

Do contact the people you bought the MHD straighteners/curler from, and see if you can get a refund. Good  luck.
