Come on Pixmania! You know it's the only thing you'll ever win.

Hmm.. don't really have a problem with any of these companies... What happenned to the BT vs Redsave vote?!
  • Jim P.
Yeah I have no problems with these either - odd selection.

this is a bit unfair isnt it. i'm sure more people use ebay than use t mobile so their bound to loose. It should go on average satisfation so people need to give each company a rating of -100 to 100 (o being average) or how people rated according to poor, mid poor, ok, good, excellent. what your doing up here is just going to be crap results.

We had an open call for nominations and took the companies from there (those with two nominations or greater). @well well - It's not going to be perfectly scientific and the idea is more to do a vote off like "Best song of 2008" etc.

Technically, aren't Pixmania a french company? (And Orange could be Spanish aswell, depending on if you're talking about their Broadband division)... And aren't Santander Italian or something?

British Gas (or Scottish Gas as I have known them) - quite possibly the most useless shower of wankers I've ever had the mis-fortune to deal with. They are undoubtedly in the top 5, if there's a company worse than them I can only pray I never have to deal with them.

Ebay should be THE worst company of the year without a doubt
  • Mike
you cant really compare ebay and tmobile against each other
  • Mike
Why is eBay bad? Littlewoods, and the very similar companies, go above any beyond consumer laws for returns, from my experience.
  • Nick
Where on earth is First Great Western? They are almost certainly the worst!

To answer some Qs: >Technically, aren’t Pixmania a french company? (And Orange could be Spanish aswell, depending on if you’re talking about their Broadband division)… Bill, correct, and we've taken that into account. We're looking at companies that are operational in the UK to consumers directly. So even if Orange broadband may have their headquarters in Spain, like Zara, Telefonica and Santander, we deal with them as consumers on a daily basis in the UK, so we felt it would be fair to include them. Otherwise we'd have to elminate some companies that have been truly, well.. utter shite. >you cant really compare ebay and tmobile against each other Mike, I would have also thought ebay to have won by a margin but based on the current 500 odd votes, it's a surprisingly close call between the 2 :) And as Paul pointed out, the vote off is not based on a perfect science especially in these early rounds. Some of the companies may appear stronger than others, and the point of this is to hone down on the semi-finalists and finalists so we know the big 4 you guys objectively feel truly deserve the stinking award :) >Why is eBay bad? Littlewoods, and the very similar companies, go above any beyond consumer laws for returns, from my experience. Exactly Mike. I concur, and this is a chance for all of us to truly express how we feel and vote for our choice and get an idea of how everyone else feels. >Where on earth is First Great Western? They are almost certainly the worst! Hey Nick - First Great Western was nominated but had too few votes to be included in the final 32. Finally - remember we are matching off 2 pairs a day over the next week, then 1 a day until we get down to the finalists just before the end of the year, so make sure you bookmark or subscribe to the RSS feed so that you get to make sure your vote gets in! Cheers!

ebay sucks, they must win surely :( What happened to the BT v Redsave vote? Are we not starting at the top?

I can't believe Comet didn't make the last 32. They have the worst after sale customer care team I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. They don't even bother replying to e-mails... even after they refused to speak to me over the phone about it as my complaint needed to be in writing. 2 years and umpteen broken promises later and I'm still waiting!

this is gash. ebay and paypal need to meet in the final as they are both equally the biggest cunts operaitng in the uk i wont let you say a bad word against comet...i got a xbox360 arcade from them for £5 last month and was very impressed with the way their customer services acted throughout the whole incident

Hey Pizza D Action - BT vs Redsave will come tomorrow, so keep your eyes peeled :) > can’t believe Comet didn’t make the last 32. That does suck MV - but surprisingly Comet had very few votes (if any). But you never know, they may make it in 2009! :) >this is gash. ebay and paypal need to meet in the final as they are both equally the biggest cunts operaitng in the uk LOL RR - it may happen indeed!

Camerabox.co.uk should be on the list surely!? (Search the web for reviews)

I would have also added DHL had I known about this up front.

I detest British Gas, I have been trying, since September for them to fix my fire. I am bloody freezing at the moment, but they fail to call me back. I wrote to the MD, and "hopefully" a resolution is in sight, but that was over 3 weeks ago and it's not fixed yet.......

Was gonna vote you guys the worst for missing/skipping that BT vs Redsave round - but it must be Christmas, good news - it's tomorrow. Great!! My vote? It begins with a B and ends with a T. And charges £1.50/month for paying by cheque and two months line rental up front. They should have got a bye straight through to the quarter finals at a very minimum...........

The worst compnay to work for, in any country is definetely Zara. Worked for them for 2 years. I have never seen more unprofessional people. The people who hold positions are ignorant and inexperienced.
