3 June 2015

alton_towers Alton Towers today confirmed via their Twitter account that the park will remain closed on Thursday 4th June following the incident on The Smiler.

If you were planning to make the trip you'll want to take note of their ticket advice:

Guests with pre-booked tickets & those arriving at the theme park will have the choice of a full refund or an alternative dated ticket.

Guests with pre-booked tickets have the option to use their tickets tomorrow at an alternative attraction.

The other attractions include Warwick Castle, Thorpe Park, Chessington World of Adventures or LEGOLAND Windsor. You will need to present your Alton Towers tickets at the attractions admission kiosks to gain entry.

We'll update with more information as soon as we have it.

good afternoon, I do not want to be pushy, but if we can get any update on the park being opened at the weekend as soon as it comes through due to having a long travel there and we wouldn't like a wasted journey. kind regards
