The Aussie Way of Avoiding Speeding Tickets

4 November 2008

Pictures speak a thousand words, so enjoy this three part act of how an Aussie avoided parking tickets with his brilliant and somewhat amusing response.  (Edit: This occured in New Zealand- thanks fatherb!)

Here is the Cliffs Notes version:

1. Bloke gets a speeding ticket, complete with a typo on the date of issue.
2. Bloke responds to police.  Mentions of time travel, automobile prototypes and infants driving vehicles.
3. I won't spoil the ending.

A wonderful ending

I doubt the muppet caught speeding in Germany would have had such luck.

this is not 'Aussie' - it is from New Zealand. See Google Earth and Wikipedia for more information, but suffice to say Australia and New Zealand are different places. An Aussie is from Australia, not New Zealand.

Hi fatherb, thank you for explaining that New Zealand and Australia are different countries, I will add in the fact that this obviously occured in New Zealand, as the letters illustrate. 'Aussie' is an autonym used to refer to an Australian. The guy involved IS an 'Aussie', and NOT a New Zealander. See original source and Wikipedia for more information, but suffice to say an Australian is not a New Zealander. An Australian is from Australia, not New Zealand. ;)

hey hra - first letter should be working now. Let us know if you have any further problems.

Nice. You have a couple of great points The issue with the legal system is that it doesn't always work for you. It is a failed system and needs to be fixed.
