No puppet dog spit on Carolgees' fine candles
If you're of a certain age, you probably spend a lot of time wondering whatever became of Bob Carolgees. Did he go to Hollywood, and now ekes out a living playing ageing mobsters in b-movies? Was he arrested following an unsavoury incident with a group of boy scouts and Spit the dog? Is he now devoting his time and energy to running a candle shop in Cheshire?
Thankfully, the latter one is the correct answer. Say hello to Bob Carolgees' Candles Plus at the Lady Heyes Craft Centre just off the B5152 between Frodsham and Delamere!
The wheels might have gone a bit wobbly on the light entertainment gravy train, but Bob isn't sitting around swilling whisky and feeling sorry for himself. Oh no sir, he's thrown himself into the selling of high quality candles, specialising in the highly-regarded 'Yankee' range (no, us neither) and personalised designer candles (that you can even order online).
We're not sure if Bob is permanently accompanied by his wretched gobbing puppet dog or whether any other 1980s light entertainment giants are also plying their trade in the Lady Heyes Craft Centre. Homemade jams from Little & Large? Bric a brac from Lennie Bennett? Unlikely – he's dead.
EDIT: Celebrity Where Are They Now update - Neil 'Art Attack' Buchanan is now in a heavy metal group.
