New site aims to reveal the good, bad and ugly in your shopping trolley

2 March 2009

A new American consumer product-rating site will soon be stretching its tentacles around the world, as it expands to include supermarket food from across the globe.

The people behind want it to become the first place for people to go if they want to know how safe or environmentally-friendly their shopping is. The site already lists over 65,000 safe toys, personal care & household products and they’re aiming to eventually rate any barcoded food product, highlighting the inclusion of chemicals, colourings and additives as well as nutritional value.

Sounds like one to bookmark and keep an eye on. We’re looking forward to their judgement on Pork Brains In Milk Gravy.
