Mini Deathwatch: Kingfisher closes down Trade Depot stores

29 November 2008

This is the mini version of Bitterwallet Deathwatch as Trade Depot only had 9 outlets. Nonetheless, they are well and truly dead as parent company Kingfisher announced they have pulled the plug.

Trade Depot was focussed on the building trade sector and launched in 2005. The stores failed to take off and Kingfisher has decided to close them down in order to focus on other UK brands, primarily B&Q and Screwfix.

Yeah I think B&Q and Screwfix are here to stay. Kingfisher is just dumping out the ones that don't work.
