eBay purchase comes with complimentary drawing of a pirate

8 February 2011

Over on the internationally-recognised Twitter service, a man who chooses to call himself ‘@Shepy’ says...

“So I ordered a Sony Liveview from eBay, and in 'special delivery instructions' I wrote “Draw a pirate on the packaging”.”

And lo and behold, it seems that the seller went and did just that...

Aren’t folk wonderful sometimes? Unless of course, Shepy did the whole thing himself in a pathetic attempt to draw some attention to himself. In which case, fuck you pal!

"Unless of course, Shepy did the whole thing himself in a pathetic attempt to draw some attention to himself. In which case, fuck you pal!" And it's taken you how long to realize this? I'm sure 9 out of 10 of your reader submitted photos are staged.

Well i think it is a proper representation of Somali pirates and wish all my parcels were delivered with comical drawings on. Would certainly make bills more appealing to open. You utter ring sausages.

This is just a current Internet fad. There have been dozens of these on the net recently. Usually pizza deliveries. I know @shepy and I dont think he is an attention seeker, and no I am not him

Hmmm if it's the same Shepy i'm thinking of, used to work at BT Broadband helpdesk, designed software to snoop on everyone, kill their internet, and was just a general dickhead, too many piercings and got me sacked

I drew that pirate, I did it because he asked me to, I'm glad it was appreciated.

I love it. It's great customer service if you ask me. I recently got bored of sending out plain ol' envelopes myself and have been illustrating all my eBay envelopes too. Just makes it a little more fun and there's nothing wrong with that. It may be commerce, but who's to say you can't be a little creative
