DIY hack for DIY hacks - the auto hammer

1 December 2008

We haven't found a UK distributor for this awesome piece of technology yet, but expect every man in the land to want one. It's a regular household hammer, given the Jetsons makeover. Introducing the Craftsman Nextec Hammerhead Auto Hammer, to give it its full, if somewhat lacklustre title.

Powered by a 12-volt rechargeable lithium-ion battery, it can hammer home nails up to 3.5-inches long with the pull of a trigger, and bangs away at 2000 impacts per minute, plus the retractable nail sleeve and magnetic head means you crack on one-handed. How much better could life be? Alright, so it's not a nail gun, but those things are lethal.

In the US, Sears are selling the Auto Hammer for $99.99. As if the Americans need another reason to loaf about and get fatter.
