Cash4Gold postal service launched in UK
Having operated successfully in the US for two years paying cash for unwanted or broken gold jewellery, Cash4Gold has now launched a similar operation in the UK. Consumers in the US have been using Cash4Gold as one alternative to the local pawn shop. Over 800,000 Americans have used the service in the two years it has operated there.
In the UK, Cash4Gold will operate from a secure processing site in Sheffield. To use the service, consumers request a gold return package, which is then sent by freepost to Cash4Gold's processing depot. The gold is photographed and verified, then tested for gold content and assigned a cash value.
94% of people in the US who send in gold accept Cash4Gold's cash offer. The company has its own refinery where it melts down the gold to sell. Watches, rings, necklaces, gold teeth, silver, platinum, and diamonds are all accepted.
