Burger King employee foils robbery by hiding the crook's car

28 May 2013

A Burger King employee has gallantly stopped a robbery at his work by hiding the robbers' getaway car.

Jeremy Lovitt and Gabriel Gonzales (allegedly*) went into a Californian branch of the chain holding guns and demanded the cash from the till.

CBS Sacramento said that the unnamed employee slipped out of the back door and found the getaway car that was still running, so they climbed in and drove the car around, leaving the villains to try and leg it on-foot.

Obviously, the police caught up with them.

Officer Joe Silva said: "The quick action from this employee did allow our officers to get on scene and arrest the suspects."

(*they obviously did)

Just waiting for the news that the scallywags have successfully pressed charges against the employee for theft of the car in these lovely politically correct times.

I'd rather have political correctness than the constant, never-ending fake political correctness people bring out just for the sake of moaning any day!

@callum "I’d rather have political correctness than the constant, never-ending fake political correctness people bring out just for the sake of moaning any day!" How do you spot the difference between the two?

@CaptainWank - If this was the UK, I would agree with you. But I think the US are less bothered about that sort of thing in these cases.

What do you think?
