Buckfast: now in ned-friendly cans
On the 9th June, the homeless and wreckless will be able to get Buckfast in cans as well as the usual bottle. Makers of the tonic wine reckon it'll be the hit of the summer!
And the new packaging looks a bit more stylish than what we're used to seeing when it comes to 'commotion lotion' and it is hitting the shelves just in time for everyone's booze-increase for the World Cup in Brazil.
Of course, the potion created by Benedictine monks at Buckfast Abbey has been linked to all manner of criminality in Scotland and Ireland, but that hasn't stopped the company tarting up their label for summer.
According to the Beeb, Strathclyde Police said Buckfast was name-checked in nearly 6,500 crime reports between 2010 and 2012, which is nice. That's why some folk call it "wreck the hoose juice".
You'll be able to get a 250ml cans for £2.90. For your money, you get a 15% drink which has a shedload of caffeine in it too.
