A gloriously gross canned goods parade. Includes Fiddleheads.

Remind us, have we done unusual canned foodstuffs and drinkstuffs before? Ah yes, of course, there was the whole chicken in a can wasn’t there? But apart from that, it’s not an area that we’ve dwelled upon for too long. Oh, apart from the 14 worst soft drinks ever.

So anyhoo, here’s a selection of grotesque canned goods as chosen by the geniuses at Now That’s Nifty. Anyone for Fiddleheads? Fish Assholes? Bird’s Nest Drink? Cheeseburger In A Can?

No? Maybe later, eh?

There's that word again Andy, 'Niffty' I feel my body filling with facial shape altering rage, I think I need some fish assholes to accompany my burger in a fucking can, to quell the overwhelming anger, mmmm, tasty, nom nom nom... etc. etc...

Not my choice this time. Merely the name of the source. And why do you keep misspelling it?

Have I mentioned the wonderful "Vergina" beer, readily available from supermarkets in Greece, on a previous occasion?

If I spell niffty properly, I have to destroy my keyboard, in a sort of Bruce Banner stylee.

the bird's nest drink is a delicacy - one of my friends became a multimillionaire selling them! They are about $ 2000/pounds - raw.

Food Network Humor has a disturbing list of the 45 grossest canned foods on the planet. Better than that other list IMHO. http://foodnetworkhumor.com/2009/06/unusual-canned-foods-from-around-the-world-45-pics/ (also - the 15 grossest foods on the planet: http://foodnetworkhumor.com/2009/06/disgusting-foods-from-around-the-world/
