Product Recall: Safety concerns over children's car seat

24 February 2016

There's a safety recall on a model of children’s car seat, thanks to a potential safety risk. Veelar Limited has recalled the Bebehut car seat model BAB001, because of a problem with the harness.

The car seats in question are designed for children weighing between 9 and 18kg, and were incorrectly manufactured between July and December 2015. They carry the ECE approval number 0444596 and date reference7/15 onward.

If you think you have one of these, you need to check the back of the seat and see whether yours is the batch in question.

A spokesperson for Veelar Limited said: “Although there have been no reported incidents of injuries so far, we have taken the decision to recall all of the products specified in this notice."

“If you bought any of this car seat from us, please stop using it immediately. We apologise for the inconvenience caused but product quality and safety of our customers are paramount and maintaining this trust is important to us.”

If you have any questions, get in touch with the customer service team using [email protected] or by phone, on 0173 3230892.

Car seats can be returned to the following address: Veelar Limited,27 Maxwell Road, Peterborough PE2 2JE. Please include a copy of your order detail for a full refund.
