Peugeot raided over emissions
The PSA Peugeot Citroen offices were raided by French investigators, as the motoring world continues to be hammered over car emissions.
It is worth pointing out that the company have said that their vehicles are all emissions compliant, but the authorities are making sure. This follows the Mitsubishi news, and Volkswagen who are looking at paying compensation to affected drivers.
Thus far, the authorities in the UK have found nothing to suggest any car manufacturers, VW aside, have been fitting cheat devices in vehicles.
The UK government said that they've done tests on 56 different vehicle types in Germany and 37 different vehicle types in the UK, with The Department for Transport saying they'd "tested a representative selection of the UK's top selling diesel vehicles".
Peugeot said that they had been "the subject of a visit and a seizure by France's General Directorate for Competition Policy, Consumer Affairs and Fraud Control (DGCCRF)".
"PSA Group confirms compliance of its vehicles in pollutant emissions in all countries where it operates."
"Confident in its technologies, PSA Group is fully cooperating with the authorities."
Of course, Renault were raided by the police too.
