Waaah! The Playstation phone is coming!
What’s this funny little thing that Engadget have got their grubby little mitts on then? Why it’s only a Playstation phone! Although you probably figured that out from the headline of this story, so we’ll move along swiftly.
It’s been mooted for some time now, but although this one is a prototype, it appears to be the real deal, with an early 2011 release date being spoken of in hushed tones, coinciding with Android 3.0 (Gingerbread), which will be its operating system. Exciting innit? There’s more. A custom Sony Markeplace will also appear, for your downloadage and purchasage of gaming products.
Engadget are reporting some tech stuff that we don’t really understand so we’ll just copy and paste it instead...
The device... is sporting a 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8655 (a chip similar to the one found in the G2, but 200MHz faster), 512MB of RAM, 1GB of ROM, and the screen is in the range of 3.7 to 4.1 inches.
There you go. If you’re a Playstation devotee, commence your salivating.... NOW!
