Unlock your secret emoticon keyboard (ง ͡ʘ ͜ʖ ͡ʘ)ง

11 March 2016

If you are getting bored of using the same old emoji, and want to use those other ones that nerds use, which are made from strange characters, you're in luck.

If you have an iPhone, you might not know that there's a keyboard hidden away, which will give you access to over 100 emoticons.

You won't have to download anything, but rather, just navigate your Settings and you'll be able to unlock a keyboard where you'll find a whole host of emoticons, which you can fill your tweets and texts with. You'll be able to use this one (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ as well as *\(^o^)/*.

Old people won't be able to see what they're supposed to be, but never mind them - they're still moaning about selfies like they're a new thing.

Anyway, if you want in on this, you need to open your Japanese Kana keyboard.

To do that, you need to follow these very simple instructions: Open Settings > General > Keyboard > Add New Keyboard > Japanese >Kana. And that's basically it.

Once you tap the globe icon on your existing keyboard, you can select the Japanese symbols next to the emoji categories. Hit the emoticon face and bingo, you're away.

If you're confused by all this, Mashable have a video you can watch, right here.

birds eat nuts, do these birds therefore contain nuts?
