Un-loseable sunglasses that connect to your iPhone

30 April 2014

Sunglasses are the one fashion item that you can almost GUARANTEE will be left in a taxi, sat on or lost forever. But soon, lost shades will be a thing of the past. A company called Tzukuri have designed Bluetooth friendly sunglasses that will send an alert to your phone if you leave them behind.

First you pair your sunglasses with your phone, just so they know each other (awwww) and then you’re free to lose/not lose your sunglasses.

If you leave your shades, the 3mm Bluetooth chip embedded in the glasses frames will give your phone a ping, with a message saying ‘YOU HAVE LEFT ME BEHIND, BITCH’ (Or something like that.)

And it works both ways, too. If you walk off wearing your shades and leave your phone behind, the chip in your glasses will trigger an extra loud ring on your phone to remind you to pick it up.

Is it just me, or is this the best idea anyone’s had for years?

The only downside to it is that the glasses are pug ugly, are only available in America from December, and will cost $250. But the potential is huge. All you need to do is apply the same technology to keys, wallets and children, and life will be simple.

Omg they look awesome! Pretty sure they're available worldwide though, FAQ says 'free global shipping' after all.
