Tesco release iPhone 4 tariffs day before launch
The iPhone4 bandwagon may have already rattled past consumers with it reaching town tomorrow, but that's not stopping Tesco attempting to jump on board. They've just released their tariffs for Pay and Go and monthly contracts (click through for the full-size image):
At first glance, the inclusion of a 12 month tariff for the 16GB makes is far more attractive for those who'll want to slavishly upgrade to the new handset inevitably released next year, and it blows away any deal Orange have to offer in terms and data and other extras. The 12 month deal also beats Vodafone's 24 month tariff with its unlimited texts and additional minutes; although the handset costs £130 more with Tesco, Vodafone's lowest tariff is £5 per month more, a difference of just £10 over 24 months. Tesco are attempting to sweeten the deal with triple Clubcard points for every £1 spent on topping up with Pay As You Go deals, and a 1000 point bonus for signing up plus triple points for every £1 of your monthly bill. One question that Tesco haven't answered is that of availability - mobile providers are already struggling to meet demand and imposing restrictions ahead of the release.
