Snapchat - now with 3D stickers!
You can tell someone's really old by mentioning Snapchat too them. They'll immediately start talking about sending dirty pictures, or they'll add that they tried it once, didn't understand it, and stuck to something like Facebook, a social network that moves at a much gentler pace.
Either way, Snapchat is hoovering up users like nobody's business at the moment, and they've been issuing all manner of updates, ensuring that members are glued to their smartphones (again, not like that, you mucky swine).
After introducing a host of filters (you may have seen a lot of women using the dog filter, and a lot of people vomiting rainbows), as well as an update to the way you send messages.
Now, Snapchat users will be able to use 3D stickers. What does that mean? It means you can film your shy mate and pop an emoji over their face, which moves with them. The update is available for Android, while Apple's iOS users are going to have to wait a while for it to get rolled out to them.
So, if you'd like to use this new feature, you will shoot a video in Snapchat, and then press the emoji button in the top right corner. Pick one, and drag it over a moving thing, and hold it down to pin it to it.
Around 100 million people are using Snapchat now, and various partnerships with media companies and businesses are ensuring that it grows in popularity. Of course, it is also a way of keeping up with celebrities, who are using the mobile app more frequently than ever before.
Snapchat is doing so well for itself, that it turned down a $3 billion buyout from Facebook, so they're doing something right.
