Samsung about to give us one off the wrist

27 August 2013

samsung_galaxy_watch Clean your wrists and brace yourselves as we are finally about to enter the era of the SMARTWATCH!

Samsung have revealed that they will be entering the murky world of the SMARTWATCH first, with something called the Galaxy Gear being released on 4th September in Berlin.

Their executive vice president, Lee Young-hee, has said that it will be marketed mostly to ‘young trend setters’. That’ll be all of us here at BWHQ then.

He added that, ‘The Gear won’t have a flexible display. The new device will enhance and enrich the current smart mobile experience in many ways. It will lead a new trend in smart mobile communications. We are confident that the Gear will add meaningful momentum to the mobile industry.’

The event will also see the launch of their latest phone, the Galaxy Note 3, but we don’t care about that. Not now that the SMARTWATCH is coming.

@ Jerry - adding a "(not)" to the end of a sentence to highlight sarcasm is also something that was modern in the 90's.
