HTC launch a pair of Windows Phone 8 handsets
First up is the 8X (pictured), which is packing as a 4.3" (10.9cm) display, which will act as a companion to the Android-powered One X. There’ll also be a smaller 8S model with a 4" (10.2cm) screen.
The 8X will launch in 50 countries in early November with the 8S being available in 52 countries. Why? We don’t know. At this point in time, we don’t really care. We’re just so excited about the new phones and the new Windows Phone 8 operating system. Phew!
Don’t forget that Nokia and Samsung will also be hurling out Windows Phone 8 devices in the near future, giving you all the choice you demand, and possibly grinding the so-called ‘iPhone 5’ into the dust.
Among the myriad of features, the 8X will have an 8MP rear camera and a 2.1MP front camera for video chat and taking pictures of your own face. Both will have wide-angle views. We’re sure that tariff info will be pumped out by the UK’s fine mobile providers very shortly, so keep ‘em peeled.
