Free VR headset with Vodafone handset

Vodafone are well known for their decent-enough cheap handsets, but the Vodafone Platinum 7 looks like it might be different.

There's also a virtual reality headset too, which is rather exciting! Not so much if you hate Vodafone though, eh?

So what's the Platinum 7 all about? Well, it comes with an 2K 5.5-inch display, which is just dandy. It also has a fingerprint sensor, and for you photo enthusiasts, has a 16MP rear camera with auto-focus. On the front, for selfie lovers, it has a 8MP camera.

If you're care about the things inside, then it has a mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor, and a battery that comes with Quick Charge 3.0 tech.

There's also 32GB of storage, 128GB microSD support, and of course, it is 4G ready with Android 6 Marshmallow.

Sadly, we suspect it might be riddled with bloatware from Vodafone themselves, which is always fantastically annoying, especially if you start running out of memory and you can't get rid of them.

What's occurring with this VR headset?

Well, you get the Vodafone virtual-reality headset too, which slots into your phone.

If you want the handset outright, that'll cost you £300 PAYG, or you can get it for £28 per a month (1GB of data, 500MB roaming, unlimited calls and texts).

If you're interested, it might be worth waiting for hands-on reviews as we've only seen the spec. Could be a winner if you're on a budget though.
